Overview[]
Episode[]
Newsreels[]
The episode starts with a montage of news reels about the exposing of the truth about The Cult and how it has infiltrated the government, additionally the connection between Nutrire Co. and The Cult are also revealed causing the company to be shut down and have all of their products deemed hazardous for consumption. The news real goes on to document riots and unrest across the globe as Crawl cultivation farms are protested and Mimics continue to hunt humans while the government has continued to do nothing about them. The people seem to be heading towards a full scale revolt against their rulers who they once trusted dearly.
Magister's Wonders[]
Magister's Wonders is a fictional show hosted by The Magister, an animated character who teaches about the creatures of the world. During the episode it is occasionally intercut into the episode as it shows the life cycles of various creatures.
Singularity Research Experiments[]
The main focus of the episode is C.A.R.C.A.S's research of Verum Carnis. The research starts with simple descriptions about the glass feel of the orb, the look of the Singularity, the inability to gather samples from it, it floating. The first in depth test of the Singularity is the description of seemingly random but rhythmic patterns showcasing its ability to transmit and receive data. Among other data they also gathered electronic interference caused by the Singularity.
Cow Experiment[]

The cow being transformed
To see what the Singularity would do, if anything, C.A.R.C.A.S release a living cow into the chest chamber for 24 hours. However, nothing happened except for the cow exhibiting higher stress levels. However when they tried the same experiment with a dead cow the Singularity seemingly magically dissolved the animal into an instant growth of Crawl across the entire room, this shows that the root of all Carnis creatures is in the death of other creatures and that they can directly benefit from the death of every living creature.
Crawl Experiments[]
Lead Crawl Expert and Cultivator Dr. Rhodes Ceres runs an experiment on Crawl with 3 studies. 1, with a normal amount of nutrients, 2 with an extra amount of nutrients, and 3 with a radio present near the Crawl. Group 1 grew normally, Group 2 grew faster then usual as expected, and Group 3 grew unnaturally, growing directly towards the radio, once the radio was consumed by the Crawl it began growing normally. An additional batch of Crawl was grown alongside the Singularity which oddly caused it to grow nodules faster, quickly producing 7 juvenile Trimmings, 2 juvenile Meat Snakes, and even one juvenile Mimic. The log ends with a cut of videos of small bugs, and an ad for Crawl compost.
Trimming Colony Experiments[]
Dr. Faun Penitro starts the log by introducing the Trimming Colony. He starts by introducing a new group of juvenile Trimmings from outside the colony, unlike the patterns of other animals who often reject outsiders the Trimmings instantly welcomed the new juveniles into the colony. The research then shares the communication style of Trimmings, new colony members are greeted using various squeals, and upset Trimmings often violently yell and scream while shaking their bodies around, this is likely to be a way to seem bigger and stronger then they actually are. Trimmings show excitement by making chewing motions which often makes a clicking sound.
Positive Cue
Negative Cue
The main test began by taking one of the Trimmings away from the colony and placed into an enclosure, then a speaker above the Trimming would play one of two audio cues. Cue 1 was a happy ding which would be followed by a treat, and Cue 2 was a negative buzzer which would be followed by the Trimmings being sprayed with cold water causing it extreme discomfort. When the positive cue was played the Trimming learned to lift its head up and eat the treats but when the negative cue was played the Trimming would lash out and scream wildly and quickly learned to cower and hide when the sound was played. In the following hours the Trimming was added back into the colony to test the communication level between trimmings. Then a speaker was placed in the colony so they could play the audio cues to determine whether or the proper reaction to the sounds was communicated to the colony by the experimented trimming. What they found was shocking, every member of the colony had learned from the other Trimming to look up and search for food when a positive ding was played, and look down and cower when a negative cue was played.
In the conclusion of the log the doctor talks about how he noticed that a wild Trimming colony had "randomly" settled outside of their facility, so as an interesting and strange experiment they setup a radio device between the wild colony and the experimental colony, what they found was shocking. The Trimmings on the inside knew how to use the radio to communicate to the wild Trimmings to react a certain way when certain sounds were played. Following this, the log ends with no word by the shocked researcher. The video then cuts back to Magister's Wonders.
