Message is the 8th episode of season 1, it is a transmission for C.A.R.C.A.S that has been hidden inside of a documentary about the monoliths from an unknown person.

The episode starts with the date of recording, December 30th 1990. It is unknown if this date is the date of the documentary or the date of the message.
Monolith Documentary[]
The episode opens to a documentary revolving around the monoliths. Far away very zoomed in camera footage is shown of the monoliths as the narrator describes them. Shortly after they began talking the episode cuts to the message.
After cutting back to the documentary it explains that all of the 7 monoliths are connected via a grand mycelial network that stretches very far underground. Cut back to the message.
The Message[]
The message section of the video begins with a computer log reading “NEW LOG - MESSAGE TO CARCAS” with the CARCAS logo below. The message cuts back to the documentary.
It cuts to the message once more and a distorted voice begins to speak to CARCAS.

The speaker continues to speak as footage of various newspapers, photos, and sticky notes tacked down with string on a bulletin board is shown in the background. The newspapers in order are, CARCAS receiving backlash for studying the Carnis, the discovery of the Meat Snake Specimen, a picture of Christopher Grady and his sister Janice Grady along with two sticky notes about their murders that are seen in the Mimic Defense Tape, a torn photo of the family who all died at the hand of a harvester during Species Anomaly Report along with a redacted newspaper about their deaths implying that their deaths were covered up, a newspaper about the producers of the Living Meat Research Documentary being arrested, photos of various obscured military leaders who could possibly be human evolved mimics or cult members, a photo of a brain scan indicating brain deterioration caused by the Nutrire Flavor Enhancer, video of a pile of vhs tapes which is the contents of season 1 of the series, a map of harvester migration patterns indicating movement to the island, an a full video of the entire board.
